Start-up college music festival expands to third campus
Tempe, AZ - The lights will be glowing brighter than ever
on September 22nd as GLOWfest, a new traveling music festival for
college students invades the campus of Arizona State. GLOWfest is being
presented by The Future Promoters of America, an Arizona State student
organization and BroBible, one of the fastest growing media and
entertainment companies in the country and will welcome Avicii and
Chiddy Bang as headliners for the event. Christopher Gallego, FPA’s
president spearheaded the effort to bring GLOWfest to ASU. “I saw the
size and scale of shows GLOWfest was putting on at Indiana and Boulder
and I knew we needed something like GLOWfest at ASU”, said Gallego.
Christopher reached out to the upstart music festival via their website
and presented a plan of action on how he wanted to bring GLOWfest to
Arizona State. “Chris really was the driving force behind our decision
to make ASU our third campus”, said tour co-founder Jack Shannon, “he
approached us about the opportunity to come to Arizona State and we
jumped at the chance. Chris was organized and had the right team in
place to execute a show of this size." GLOWfest is a turn key concert
solution that finances, produces, and promotes large scale festival
style concerts on college campuses and relies on motivated groups like
the FPA to effectively market the show to its fellow students. When it
came time to decide which acts to book GLOWfest asked FPA who they
thought ASU students would want to see. “ We polled ASU students using
Facebook and asked them which artist they wanted to bring to ASU and
Avicii won in a landslide. We told GLOWfest we wanted Avicii and they
were able to deliver that for us.”
